Christina will guide you to use your breath and if inspired, she will also use the instruments at hand, like the gong, drum, chimes, and singing bowls. She uses hot towels and hot stones in every massage and has you lie on a heated table as well. Massage with Christina is an upgrade to next level healing.
Reflexology
Reflexology is an ancient therapy used by the Chinese, Egyptians, and indigenous North Americans, but is again gaining popularity in modern times. Reflexology is also known as regional therapy because it is based on the premise that all structures, systems and organs can be stimulated by applying pressure to specific areas of the feet, hands or ears. The increased circulation and attention bring blood, energy and nutrients as well as some awesome feel-good chemicals. This therapy can also be used to target: stress-reduction, detoxification, better sleep; pain relief; a return to homeostasis. Come relax in a zero gravity chair and forget about everything else as Carter helps facilitate relief through the feet.
Thai Yoga Bodywork
Thai Yoga Bodywork is an indigenous healing therapy from the area now known as Thailand. Thai Bodywork can be considered a form of meditation combined with rhythmic compression, assisted stretching and acupressure. This therapy helps improve and balance the flow of energy throughout the body by releasing tension and allowing the body to let go and surrender to healing touch. Thai Yoga Bodywork is also very grounding and spiritually cleansing. Each session can be profoundly healing.
Qigong
What is Qigong? “Qi” means energy. It can also be called unconditional love, universal life force, or prana. “Gong” means “the work of.” In essence, qigong is an ancient Chinese practice of harnessing or moving the power of Qi in the body and the universe. When we practice qigong, we are working with the universal life force, by using breath and movement and our powers of intention. Qi has intelligence, which we can learn to harness and work with to create better energy flow - for ourselves and the world around us - everywhere. Qigong is a practice of the heart, where we look inward and connect with ourselves on a micro-level. With consistent practice, we can learn to tap into the best parts of ourselves and keep ourselves happy, balanced and healthy.
